Legacies

I am often asked questions such as “How is Aylsham Care Trust funded?” or “do you get government funding?” or “how much of your time do you spend on fundraising?”
With more and more TV advertisements asking for support for various charities, both large and small, there is increasing realisation that we do rely upon the generosity of others in a variety of ways. There is an increasing need to explain carefully what we do, the impact it has and the importance of people getting alongside us particularly in a financial sense.
One of the ways that we receive support is through legacies or gifts in wills. When we make a will, we often think (and hope) that the gifts we leave will not be received for many years and in many cases that is true. In the past three years, we have received a number of small gifts in wills and two particularly substantial gifts which have enabled us to invest in, and expand, some of our services so we can reach increasing numbers of people. The vision and generosity of these donors has had a wonderfully positive impact on many lives as we seek to enable people to live independently and well and to combat isolation and loneliness.
Since 1985, Aylsham Care Trust has been at the heart of our community working hard to provide the care needed. We recognise that the need is increasing as people live longer and the population demographic alters. Would you consider leaving a gift in your will? We understand that your loved ones will come first.
Would you consider leaving something of what is left to allow your legacy to live on through the work of Aylsham Care Trust? Together we can transform the lives of those who face loneliness and who want to live independently and well.
Thank you.
